HIGH SCHOOL: THE CREW (Christ-Centered, Renewed, Eucharist, Witness)
MIDDLE School: SJAM (St. Joseph Adolescent Ministry)
Mission Statement
The mission of Catholic Youth Ministry at St. Joseph's is deeply rooted in the mission of the Catholic Church and the Diocese of Austin. St. Joseph's Youth Ministry is committed to the reality that young people are an important and integral part of our parish community. The youth program responds to the needs of the youth and encourages the sharing of their unique gifts. The spiritual and social needs of the youth are met with the committed leadership, guidance and support of our parish adults. The youth of our parish are therefore provided with the opportunity to grow together in their Christian faith. St. Joseph Youth Ministry follows the U.S. Catholic Bishops clear and rich goals for comprehensive youth ministry in the document, Renewing the Vision: A Framework for Catholic Youth Ministry.
The three goals for ministry with adolescents are:
To empower young people to live as disciples of Jesus Christ in our world today.
To draw young people to responsible participation in the life, mission, and work of the Catholic faith community.
To foster the total personal and spiritual growth of each young person.
Renewing the Vision lists eight components that provide a framework for the Catholic community to respond to the needs of young people and to help youth share their gifts.
These eight components are advocacy, catechesis, community life, evangelization, justice and service, leadership development, pastoral care, and prayer and worship.

As a youth minister, what is the one thing you hope your teens think of when they look at the crucifix? What is it about the cross of Christ that you hope they see, feel, or realize? During Holy Week,
