Welcome to our Faith Community of St. Joseph Catholic Church. In our Religious Education Program, here you will experience a deeper understanding of your Catholic Christian Faith. Jesus Christ is our model of faith, hope and love. Children enrolled the Religion Education Program of St. Joseph are educated using a Catechism of the Catholic Church based curriculum approved by the Diocese of Austin. As our guide, children are instructed with the example Jesus gives us in the Gospels…with love, compassion and understanding. Parents are reminded that they are the primary teachers of the Catholic Faith for their children. A Parish Religious Education program cannot be the sole foundation of faith formation for them. Children need faith formation from their parents. Pope John Paul II called Christian homes the “Domestic Church”. Parents are encouraged to learn more about their faith to pass their faith on to their children by using the many opportunities offered for Adult Faith Formation at St. Joseph Catholic Church. There are many opportunities to volunteer and take part in the faith formation of our parish's children and also to assist the Director of Religious Education. Over 40 volunteer teachers and assistants are needed for the St. Joseph RE Program. Volunteers are required to attend an Ethics and Integrity in Ministry workshop and fill out an application with the Diocese. Requirements to become a volunteer in the RE program are:
